The Ovilla Police Department serves a small city in northern Ellis County on the southern edge of the Dallas metro, bordered by Glenn Heights, Red Oak, and Midlothian. Its badge dates the community to 1844 and builds a gold command-style shield around four words: SERVICE, COMMUNITY, INTEGRITY, and HONOR.
Shape and Base: The badge is a polished gold shield with a stepped, tiered crown and a beaded edge. TEXAS crosses the top tier in black block letters, and OVILLA sits on a navy enamel band beneath it.
