Description
The Plainview Police Department serves the seat of Hale County on the South Plains, a farming and ranching city on I-27 halfway between Lubbock and Amarillo. Its officer badge works entirely in silver and black — a black enamel map of Texas, an engraved state seal, and flags rendered in monochrome rather than full color.
Shape and Base: The badge is a silver oval with a large silver five-point star rising behind the center, its upper points framed by laurel sprays. OFFICER arcs the crown on a silver ribbon in bold black letters.
