Description
The Premont Police Department serves a small Brush Country city in southern Jim Wells County on US 281, between Alice and Falfurrias in the ranch country of South Texas. Its patrolman badge is a silver shield worked in black enamel, with an eagle spreading its wings above a black state seal and flags rendered in black and silver.
Shape and Base: The badge is a polished silver shield crowned by a black enamel star finial at the apex. PATROLMAN crosses the top on a silver band in black block letters, and beneath it a sculpted eagle head spreads its wings across the width of the shield.
Center Design: A seal ringed STATE OF TEXAS anchors the badge, its black enamel field carrying an engraved silver star and wreath. The United States and Texas flags spread from behind the seal at either side, filled in black enamel only.
