Description
This Bowie County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the county in the far northeast corner of Texas, home to the Texas side of Texarkana, with its seat at New Boston. The design layers the American and Texas flags behind a state map and a full-color seal on a black shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with a flat top, rounded upper corners, and sides that curve to a point at the base, finished with a bright red merrowed border around the black field.
Center Design: A white outline of Texas trimmed in red fills the middle of the patch. Behind it, the American flag waves out to the left with its blue star field and red and white stripes, and the Texas flag waves out to the right in blue, white, and red. A round blue seal sits at the center of the map, ringed in gold and reading STATE OF TEXAS around a white star inside a green wreath.
Lettering: SHERIFF runs across the top in large white block letters, with BOWIE COUNTY in smaller white letters just below it. TEXAS sits at the base in bold white letters beneath the map.
Color and Thread: The black field makes the red, white, and blue of both flags stand out sharply, while the gold ring and green wreath give the seal its own focal point — a busy, patriotic layout that still reads clearly at a glance.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Bowie County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Bowie County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Bowie County Sheriff’s Office design, with both flags, the state map, and the seal as shown, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can you stitch two flags behind a state map like this?
Yes. The American and Texas flags are digitized as separate layers that tuck behind the map outline, so the stripes and star fields stay crisp where they meet. Either flag can be swapped, enlarged, or removed.
Can the center seal be changed to our own emblem?
Yes. The round seal can carry the state seal as shown, your county or department emblem, or a simple star, and its ring lettering, colors, and size can all be adjusted to fit the map.
How much does a patch like this cost?
A detailed patch like this is estimated from about $17 each at 10 pieces down to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Size and stitch count set the final price, which is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Plan on about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing of the flags and seal, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing.
Do I need credentials to order a Bowie County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
