Description
This Denton County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the North Texas county north of Dallas and Fort Worth whose seat is the city of Denton. A silver DEPUTY SHERIFF star badge sits at the center of a royal blue shield trimmed in silver.
Shape and Border: The patch is a royal blue shield with a nearly flat top and rounded upper corners, and its straight sides taper to a point at the base. A silver merrowed border runs around the full edge, and a thin silver arc sets off the title at the top.
Center Design: A silver five-point star with ball tips fills the middle of the shield, stitched to look like a deputy’s badge. Its center holds a white disc with a red five-point star inside a green wreath, and a small panel across the lower part of the star carries the number 1857.
Lettering: SHERIFF runs across the top of the shield in large silver block letters. DENTON runs along the left edge and COUNTY along the right, also in silver. On the badge, DEPUTY SHERIFF arches across the top of the star, and STATE OF and TEXAS circle the center in black.
Color and Thread: Royal blue and silver set a cool, bright palette, with black lettering on the badge for contrast. The red star and green wreath at the center add the only other color on the patch.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Denton County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Denton County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Denton County Sheriff’s Office design, including the silver deputy star on the royal blue shield, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can the badge on a patch show a deputy rank instead of sheriff?
Yes. The badge at the center can carry any rank title, as DEPUTY SHERIFF does here, so a department can order matching patches for different ranks with only the badge lettering changed.
Can a year or number be stitched on a panel of the badge?
Yes. A small panel can be stitched across the badge for a year, badge number, or unit number, as 1857 is here, with the numbers in a contrasting thread so they stay readable at patch size.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Denton County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Denton County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
