Description
This Karnes County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the county whose seat is Karnes City and whose largest city is Kenedy. Founded in 1854, the county is named for Henry Karnes, a soldier in the Texas Revolution. A gold star badge with light blue banners sits on a charcoal gray field.
Shape and Border: The patch has an arched top, straight sides, and a rounded base. A wide gold band runs inside a black merrowed edge around the full outline.
Center Design: A five-point gold star with ball tips fills the middle of the patch. Light blue ribbon banners cross the star near the top and bottom, and at its center a red-rimmed seal holds a navy ring around a light blue disc with a pale silver star.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top in large gold block letters. The banners read SHERIFF’S and DEPARTMENT in dark lettering, the navy ring reads THE STATE OF TEXAS in white, and KARNES COUNTY runs across the base in gold.
Color and Thread: Gold thread for the border band, star, and lettering stands out against the charcoal twill, while the light blue banners and the red, navy, and silver seal add color at the center.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a neighboring county design, see the DeWitt County Sheriff patch.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Karnes County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Karnes County Sheriff’s Office design, including the gold ball-tip star with light blue banners and a State of Texas center, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can a patch use a charcoal gray background instead of black or navy?
Yes. Charcoal gray twill gives a softer contrast than black, as it does here behind the gold star, the light blue banners, and the gold lettering, while still keeping every element easy to read.
Can a patch have an arched top with a rounded base?
Yes. The outline can follow a rounded badge shape, as this patch arches across the top above SHERIFF and curves around the base under KARNES COUNTY, with a wide gold band following the edge.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Karnes County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Karnes County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
