This Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex county whose seat is Kaufman and whose largest city is Forney. Created in 1848, the county is named for David S. Kaufman, a Texas diplomat and U.S. Representative. A red Texas map and a curved gold banner sit on a royal blue shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with a gently curved top and rounded upper corners, and its sides taper to a point at the base. A thin gold line runs inside a black merrowed border.
