Description
This Kendall County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s subdued shoulder emblem for the Edwards Plateau county whose seat and largest city is Boerne. Created in 1862 from Kerr and Blanco counties, the county is named for George Wilkins Kendall, a journalist who covered the Mexican–American War. The design is stitched entirely in olive drab, tan, and black.
Shape and Border: The patch has an arched top with rounded upper corners, straight sides, and a rounded base. A tan inner band runs inside a black merrowed edge.
Center Design: A black five-point star with ball tips fills the middle of the patch, crossed by black ribbon banners near the top and bottom. At its center, a tan seal ring surrounds an olive disc holding a tan star within oak and olive branches outlined in black, a subdued version of the Texas state seal. Three small black stars sit at the base of the ring.
Lettering: SHERIFF runs across the top in large tan block letters, and KENDALL COUNTY arches beneath it in black. The banners read SHERIFF’S and OFFICE in tan, and the seal ring reads THE STATE OF TEXAS in black.
Color and Thread: Olive drab, tan, and black keep the patch low in contrast for field and tactical uniforms, while the layered star, banners, and seal still read clearly up close.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Kendall County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Kendall County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Kendall County Sheriff’s Office design, including the black star, tan seal ring, and olive drab twill, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can a patch be made in olive drab for field or tactical uniforms?
Yes. Olive drab twill with tan and black thread gives a low-visibility look for field uniforms, as this design does, while the lettering and seal stay readable up close.
Can the star badge be stitched in black on a subdued patch?
Yes. A black star keeps the badge shape clear against olive drab, as it does here, with SHERIFF’S and OFFICE stitched in tan across black banners and a tan seal at the center.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Kendall County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
