Description
The Seguin Police Department serves the county seat of Guadalupe County, a historic city on the Guadalupe River east of San Antonio. Its officer badge centers on a gold disc carrying a mounted horseman in period dress, flanked by small United States and Texas flags on a silver laurel oval.
Shape and Base: The badge is a silver oval with laurel sprays running around the rim and fine rays fanning across its face. POLICE OFFICER arches across the top on a broad gold ribbon in bold black serif letters, its tails folding down at the shoulders.
Center Design: A large gold disc fills the heart of the oval, carrying a sculpted horseman in period dress mounted on a high-stepping horse, raised in full relief so the rider and horse stand out against the disc. Small United States and Texas flags in full enamel sit at either side of the disc.
Banner Lettering: SEGUIN crosses a curved gold scroll beneath the disc, POLICE DEPARTMENT follows on a second scroll, and a small gold tab at the base reads SPD, all in bold black serif letters.
Tonal Detail: Silver carries the oval, laurel, and rays while gold takes the ribbon, disc, horseman, and scrolls, and the two small flags add the only color — a heritage badge built around a single sculpted figure.
Finish Quality: Each badge is die-struck in solid metal, plated in two-tone silver and gold, filled with flag enamel and black enamel at the lettering, and fitted with a pin-back and safety clasp. For the county lawman from the same Guadalupe County courthouse, see the Guadalupe County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named badges for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you put a mounted figure on our badge like this Seguin design?
Yes. An equestrian figure can be sculpted in full relief on a disc or shield, with the rider, horse, and tack cut into the die so the detail holds at badge size. Our artwork team works from your reference image, and you approve the figure on a free proof before tooling.
Can the small flags at the sides be changed?
Yes. The side flags can be swapped for your state flag, a Thin Blue Line flag, stars, or left off entirely. They are filled in full enamel so the colors stay sharp next to the gold disc.
What does a badge like this cost?
Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The sculpted horseman, laurel rim, flag enamel, and scrolls are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, two-tone plating, the flag and black enamel fills, and hand-finishing of the sculpted figure.
Can the SPD tab carry something else?
Yes. The base tab can hold department initials as shown, a badge number, or a rank, and the POLICE OFFICER ribbon re-letters to any title. SEGUIN re-letters to your own city.
Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?
Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
