Description
The Seminole Police Department serves the seat of Gaines County on the South Plains of West Texas, a farming and oil town near the New Mexico line. Its officer badge is a gold eagle-top shield carrying silver ribbons and a black-ringed state seal, a traditional layout finished in two-tone gold and silver.
Shape and Base: The badge is a gold shield crowned by an eagle with its wings spread across the top edge. A sunburst of fine rays fans out from the center, and sculpted leafwork runs down both sides of the shield toward the base.
Center Design: A round seal sits at the heart of the badge, ringed in black enamel with THE STATE OF TEXAS in raised silver letters. Inside the ring, a silver five-point star rests within a wreath on a bright silver disc.
Banner Lettering: OFFICER arches across the top on a silver ribbon, SEMINOLE follows on a second ribbon whose tails fold down beside the seal, and POLICE crosses a silver scroll below it. A silver TEXAS panel with curled ends closes the base, all lettered in bold black serif type.
Tonal Detail: Gold carries the eagle, rays, and leafwork while silver takes every ribbon, the panel, and the seal center, and the black ring adds the only enamel color — so the silver lettering stands out cleanly against the warm gold field.
Finish Quality: Each badge is die-struck in solid metal, plated in two-tone gold and silver, filled with black enamel at the lettering and seal ring, and fitted with a pin-back and safety clasp. For the county lawman from the same Gaines County courthouse, see the Gaines County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named badges for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you make an eagle-top shield like this Seminole badge?
Yes. The eagle is sculpted into the same die as the shield, with its spread-wing crest forming the top edge of the badge. Feather detail, wing width, and the height of the eagle can all be adjusted, and you approve the shape on a free proof before tooling.
Can the ribbons be silver on a gold badge like this?
Yes. Two-tone plating lets the ribbons, panel, and seal center be finished in silver while the shield, eagle, and rays stay gold. The split is masked in production, so each metal sits exactly where the proof shows it.
What does a badge like this cost?
Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The eagle crest, silver ribbons, seal ring, and base panel are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, two-tone plating, the black enamel fills, and hand-finishing of the eagle feathers and leafwork.
Can the OFFICER ribbon show a different rank?
Yes. The top ribbon can read SERGEANT, LIEUTENANT, CHIEF, or any rank, and the SEMINOLE, POLICE, and TEXAS banners re-letter to your own city, agency, and state. The base panel can also carry a badge number.
Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?
Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
