Description
The Sealy Police Department serves a city in Austin County on Interstate 10 west of Houston, set on the prairie near the Brazos River. Its badge spreads a pair of sculpted wings behind a raised Texas map, with a silver star and a red-ringed seal disc rising at the center.
Shape and Base: The badge is a polished silver oval with a raised rim, small crossed studs set around its edge, and fine rays fanning across its upper face. SEALY arches across the top in bold black serif letters.
Center Design: A pair of feathered wings sweeps out from both sides of the oval behind a raised Texas map, and a textured grain fills the lower field. A silver five-point star stands over the map, and at its heart sits a seal disc ringed in red enamel with a star at its center.
Banner Lettering: POLICE crosses a wide silver ribbon beneath the map, DEPARTMENT follows on a second ribbon, and a small tab at the base reads TX, all in bold black serif letters.
Tonal Detail: Every metal element is one bright silver tone, with black enamel at the lettering and the red seal ring as the only color — so the feathered wings and textured field carry the design through relief.
Finish Quality: Each badge is die-struck in solid metal, plated in polished silver, filled with red enamel at the seal and black enamel at the lettering, and fitted with a pin-back and safety clasp. For the county lawman from the same Austin County courthouse, see the Austin County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named badges for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you add wings behind the center like this Sealy badge?
Yes. Spread wings can be sculpted to sweep out from both sides of the center, with feathers cut into the die so they catch light at every angle. They frame a map, star, or seal and give the oval extra width, and you approve the wing detail on a free proof before tooling.
Can the seal at the center carry our own lettering?
Yes. The ring around the center disc can carry your city name, founding year, or the state name in raised letters over red, blue, or black enamel, spaced to read clearly at small size.
What does a badge like this cost?
Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The wings, raised map, star, and seal enamel are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, silver plating, the red and black enamel fills, and hand-finishing of the wings and star points.
Can the TX tab carry a badge number instead?
Yes. The base tab can hold an individual badge number, a rank, or a unit name, and a rank line such as OFFICER or SERGEANT can be added. SEALY re-letters to your own city.
Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?
Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
