Description
This Garza County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the county southeast of Lubbock whose seat is Post. Four riders on horseback appear in silhouette beneath a silver TEXAS star seal, framed by waving U.S. and Texas flags on a black oval.
Shape and Border: The patch is a horizontal oval with a black field across the top, finished with a silver-gray merrowed border around the full edge.
Center Design: A silver star-in-ring seal sits at the center, with a five-point star inside a ring trimmed by wreath branches on both sides. A U.S. flag waves on the left and a Texas flag with a large white star waves on the right, and below them four riders on horseback cross dark ground in black silhouette, the rider on the left swinging a lasso.
Lettering: SHERIFF arches across the top in large gold block letters, with GARZA COUNTY in gold block letters beneath it. IN GOD and WE TRUST flank the seal in gold serif letters, and the letters T, E, X, A, and S are set around the points of the star.
Color and Thread: Black, gold, and silver set the frame, while the red, white, and blue of both flags fill the background behind the riders.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Garza County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Garza County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Garza County Sheriff’s Office design, including the four riders on horseback beneath the TEXAS star seal, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can a sheriff patch be made in a horizontal oval shape?
Yes. A patch can be cut as a wide horizontal oval, as this one is, which leaves room for a full scene across the bottom and flags on both sides while keeping the title and seal centered at the top.
Can silhouette figures be stitched over a flag background?
Yes. Figures can be stitched in solid black silhouette over a colored background, as the four riders on horseback are here against the U.S. and Texas flags, so their outlines stand out sharply.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Garza County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Garza County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
