Description
This Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the Southeast Texas Gulf Coast county whose seat is Beaumont, a county built around petroleum refining and deep-water ports at Beaumont and Port Arthur. A black-line scene of a refinery, an oil derrick, and a cargo ship fills the middle of a red, white, and blue shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with a flat top and angled upper corners, and its sides taper to a point at the base. A black merrowed border runs around the full edge.
Center Design: The shield is divided into three bands. The white middle band holds a scene stitched in black line work: a tractor working wavy field rows at the left, refinery tanks, a tall column, and a spherical tank with piping beside a tall oil derrick at the center, a cargo ship on the water at the upper right, and two longhorn cattle in grass at the lower right. A white five-point star sits in the blue band at the base.
Lettering: SHERIFF and JEFFERSON COUNTY are stitched in gold block letters across the red top band, and TEXAS arches across the blue bottom band in gold above the star.
Color and Thread: Red, white, and blue bands give the patch the colors of the Texas flag, while the gold lettering and the black line work of the scene add contrast.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For the metal version from the same department, see the Jefferson County Sheriff badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office design, including the refinery, oil derrick, and cargo ship scene across the white band, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can a detailed local scene be stitched in black line work?
Yes. A scene can be stitched in black outline on a white field, as the tractor, refinery, derrick, ship, and longhorns are here. Line work keeps many small elements readable without adding extra thread colors.
Can a patch be divided into colored bands?
Yes. A shield can be split into horizontal bands, as this design uses a red band for the lettering, a white band for the scene, and a blue band for TEXAS and the white star. The bands echo the colors of the Texas flag.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Jefferson County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
