Description
This Kerr County Sheriff’s Office patch recreates the department’s shoulder emblem for the Edwards Plateau county along the Guadalupe River whose seat is Kerrville. The county was created in 1856, the year stitched at the base, and is named for James Kerr, a congressman of the Republic of Texas. A round seal over a Texas flag map sits on a black shield.
Shape and Border: The patch is a shield with a gently curved top and rounded upper corners, and its sides taper to a point at the base. A wide gray band runs inside a black merrowed edge.
Center Design: A Texas map filled with the state flag, blue at the west and white over red at the east, is outlined in white across the middle of the shield. A round seal with a gray ring sits over the western half of the map, and inside the ring a large silver five-point star is set on the blue and white of the flag.
Lettering: SHERIFF runs across the top in large white block letters. The gray seal ring reads KERR COUNTY at the top and SHERIFF’S OFFICE at the bottom in black, and EST. 1856 sits in white near the base.
Color and Thread: Black twill and the gray border band keep the patch dark and simple, so the red, white, and blue of the flag map and the silver star stand out at the center.
Finish Quality: Each patch is embroidered with full-coverage stitching on polyester twill, finished with a merrowed edge, and offered with iron-on or sew-on backing. For a department in the same county, see the Ingram Police badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named patches for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I order a custom patch like this Kerr County Sheriff’s Office design?
Yes. Owl Badges embroiders custom patches to match this Kerr County Sheriff’s Office design, including the silver star seal over the Texas flag map, or adjusted to your own agency name, colors, and size. You receive a free digital proof before production begins.
Can the flag colors show through the center of the seal?
Yes. The seal ring can be left open in the middle, as it is here, so the blue and white of the Texas flag map show behind the silver star instead of a solid center disc.
Can a map extend beyond the edges of a seal?
Yes. A map can sit behind a smaller seal so its outline shows on every side, as the Texas flag map does here, with the panhandle rising above the KERR COUNTY ring and the east side reaching out to the right.
What does a sheriff patch like this cost?
Estimated pricing starts at about $17 each at 10 pieces and drops to roughly $2 each at 1,000 pieces, with no setup fee. Final pricing depends on size, stitch count, and quantity, and is confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take for a patch like the Kerr County design?
Production typically takes about three to six weeks after proof approval, covering digitizing, embroidery, merrowed edging, and backing. Your proof is confirmed before stitching starts.
Do I need credentials to order a Kerr County Sheriff’s Office patch with the real agency name?
Yes. Patches bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
