Description
The North Richland Hills Police Department serves one of the Mid-Cities of northeast Tarrant County, a suburb of more than seventy thousand residents between Fort Worth and DFW Airport, bordered by Haltom City, Keller, and Hurst. Its officer badge carries the city the way residents say it: NRH, set in bold black letters across the face of a silver star.
Shape and Base: The badge is a silver oval rimmed with small raised studs and pinstripe rays at the flanks. A gold OFFICER band arcs the crown in black letters, with a gold filigree scroll curling beneath it.
Center Design: A gunmetal disc ringed in gold fills the heart of the badge, lettered NORTH RICHLAND across the top and HILLS across the bottom in gold. Over it stands a large faceted silver five-point star, and across the star face runs the NRH monogram in black block letters — the city shorthand made into the central emblem.
Banner Lettering: POLICE crosses the lower field on a gold band in black letters, and a small gold Texas map panel carrying the badge number closes the base of the oval.
Tonal Detail: Silver carries the oval, studs, and star while gold takes the crown band, scroll, disc ring, and base panel, with the dark gunmetal disc behind the star giving the silver points a sharp edge — a modern, high-contrast badge built around a monogram.
Finish Quality: Each badge is die-struck in solid metal, plated in two-tone silver and gold, filled with dark enamel at the disc and monogram, and fitted with a pin-back and safety clasp. For the county counterpart from the same Tarrant County rolls, see the Tarrant County Constable badge.

🛡 Authorized Purchase & Credential Verification
Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers must provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. We do not sell agency-named badges for personal use.
Custom and fictional designs — for example, a made-up department like “Town of Western Hope Police” — are welcome, as are designs where you change the agency or department name to your own.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you put our city initials across the star like the NRH monogram on this badge?
Yes. The monogram is struck into the star face and filled with dark enamel, so the letters read crisp and bold at any distance. Two, three, or four initials work, in block or serif lettering, and the star can carry them in silver, gold, or black — set on a free proof before tooling.
Can the dark disc behind the star be a different color?
Yes. The gunmetal disc gives the silver star its sharp edge, and it can run black, navy, or your department color instead, with the gold ring and city lettering around it adjusted to match. The disc can also strike as bare metal for an all-silver look.
What does a badge like this cost?
Estimated pricing runs from about $150 each at low quantities down to roughly $50 each at higher volumes, with no setup fee and no mold fee. The enamel disc, monogram, and studded border are all included in that range, confirmed with a free quote.
How long does production take?
Approximately 8 to 14 weeks after proof approval, covering die tooling, striking in solid metal, two-tone plating, the disc and monogram enamel fills, and hand-finishing of the studded rim.
Can each officer get an individual number on the base panel?
Yes. The small Texas map panel at the base carries a badge number, struck individually on each piece in the order. It can also swap to a plain panel, a rank title, or your own state outline, and OFFICER and POLICE re-letter to any rank or agency wording.
Do we need credentials to order a badge with a real city name on it?
Yes. Badges bearing a real agency or department name are sold only to that agency or its authorized representatives. Law enforcement and public-safety buyers provide proof of occupation, valid credentials, or an authorized purchasing letter before production begins. Fictional or fully customized designs with your own name are welcome without that step.
